Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, our founder, Nancy, was instilled with traditional Midwestern values from a very young age. Even after moving to Los Angeles to pursue a Hollywood acting career, that passion and determination to work hard and stay humble never faltered.
When her beloved momma got sick with cancer and her daddy was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s, her life was instantly flipped upside down. Without even a second thought, her family came first. So she put her acting days behind her in pursuit of a career that would make her happy during some of her toughest days and give her a more flexible schedule.
As a natural-born tastemaker with a constant pulse on the latest-and-greatest, Nancy was then recruited by a celebrity facialist to brand and curate for them. It was then that she had an epiphany. After having been lucky enough to sit in the chairs of some of the industry’s most talented beauty professionals, she remembered what they’d always shared with her: “Exfoliation and hydration are the key to beautiful skin.”
She scoured the globe for a multi-tasking product that could provide both benefits, not just as a treatment, but as an everyday regimen. There wasn't a singular product that could address these two most essential requirements for healthy, luminous skin on a daily basis. So, she created her own, thus Reflekt 1 Daily Exfoliating Face Wash was born and, with it, Reflekt.
Today, Reflekt’s core regimen consists of four products — our day-one face wash, a brightening serum, a sculpting face cream, and a smoothing eye/lip cream. Each of these were formulated with that transformative combination of gentle exfoliation and powerful hydration Nancy discovered was essential for healthy, pH-balanced skin. Whether used individually or all together to maximize the benefits, they’re proven to reveal a clear, radiant, and youthful-looking complexion.
